By accessing the Hong Kong Fire Services Department (“FSD”) Centralized Automated External Defibrillator (“AED”) Registry for Emergency (“CARE”) or any of its links and webpages, you unconditionally agree to the terms and conditions of this Disclaimer subject to such modifications as may be made by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (the “Government”) from time to time.

 

2. Unless otherwise stated, all information (including but not limited to all text graphics, drawings, diagrams, photographs and compilation of data or other materials) contained in CARE is provided to you on an “as is” basis without express or implied warranty of any kind and is provided for general reference only. Whilst the Government endeavours to ensure the accuracy of information contained in CARE, no statement, representation, guarantee or warranty of any kind, express or implied, is given or made by the Government as to the accuracy, availability, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular or any purpose, security, timeliness, title, non-infringement, appropriateness or usefulness of the information found on CARE and in so far as permitted by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

To the extent permitted by law, the Government shall not be liable for any errors or omissions from or any misstatement or misrepresentation (whether express or implied) concerning any information contained in CARE. The Government shall not have or accept any liability, obligation or responsibility (including liability for negligence) of whatsoever for any loss, destruction, damage or injury, costs or expenses (whether direct, indirect or consequential) however arising out of or in connection with any supply of, use or misuse of, reliance on the information contained in CARE (including without limitation any information, guidelines and tips for helping oneself at emergency situations) or inability to use such information.

 

4. The Government does not warrant or represent that any information transmitted from CARE to user is free of computer viruses. User is advised to perform virus scanning before using CARE. The Government shall not be held liable for any loss, destruction or damage or injury howsoever arising out of or in relation to any transmission from CARE to user over the Internet.

 

5. The Government recommends that users exercise their own skill and care with respect to their use of CARE and that users carefully evaluate the accuracy, currency, completeness and relevance of the material or information contained in CARE for their purposes. Users are responsible for making their own assessments as appropriate in respect of all information contained in or in connection with the CARE. The Government does not guarantee that the information contained in CARE is fit for any particular purpose.  Moreover, this Portal is not a substitute for independent professional advice and visitors/users should obtain appropriate professional advice relevant to their particular circumstance before acting upon it.

 

6. CARE may contain materials or information contributed by third parties. To facilitate access to information provided by or via third parties, CARE may provide or assist in providing links to external websites through CARE. The Government states that it has not approved or endorsed the materials contributed by third parties on CARE or any external websites linked to CARE. The provision of any such materials or links to external websites shall not constitute any form of co-operation or affiliation with the Government of any such third parties or external websites.
